Our own container terminal and depot in Odesa

For over 15 years NOVALOG UKRAINE has handled cargo through the Greater Odesa ports, and at the heart of that work is our own container terminal and depot in Odesa. The 3,799 m² yard sits beside the Odesa and Pivdennyi ports, equipped with two 50-tonne gantry cranes, 380 V reefer power and secure storage. Because we run the terminal ourselves — not a chain of brokers and third-party yards — gate-in, storage, handling and onward delivery all sit with one accountable team.

A container depot in Odesa has to do more than hold boxes. We receive containers at the gate, inspect them on arrival, log them into a monitored yard, and release them with inspection on the way out. We stuff and unstuff cargo, run pre-loading for the sea-line service, and keep reefers powered while they wait. And when the lift is anything but routine, two 50-tonne gantry cranes handle out-of-gauge and breakbulk that standard depots turn away.

Depot services on a yard we control

Every container that passes through our Odesa terminal gets the full range of depot services on a single site: secure storage, gate-in and gate-out with inspection, container stuffing and unstuffing, pre-loading for the sea line, and reefer power from 380 V points on the yard. Because the facility is ours, we can sequence those steps around your schedule rather than around a third party's queue — and you see the status of your cargo at every stage.

That control is the real difference. At an ends-at-the-gate third-party yard, visibility and responsibility stop the moment your container is handed over. At the NOVALOG terminal, the same team that received the box arranges the lift, the storage, the clearance and the onward move — so there is one place to call and one team accountable for the result.

Handling, clearance and onward delivery

Our terminal is built for the awkward cargo other yards decline. The two 50-tonne gantry cranes lift standard containers, out-of-gauge loads and breakbulk with equal ease, and our in-house, nationally licensed customs broker clears import and export cargo in step with the handling. We arrange war-risk marine insurance on every voyage, and from the terminal we run onward rail and road delivery across Ukraine.

Sitting in Greater Odesa — the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi — the terminal is also backed by multimodal options when a sea call has to be re-routed: rail, road and the Danube river ports of Reni and Izmail. The Black Sea maritime corridor links the Greater Odesa ports with Constanța in Romania and the Bosphorus, so cargo keeps moving even when one route is under pressure.
